COURAGEOUS - The Movie

Tomorrow, September 30th, a new movie will be released in theaters. The film is about fatherhood, and the story centers around four police officers all in various stages of fatherhood trying to figure out what it means to be a great dad. When leaving the theater, men will hopefully make the same decision that Joshua made when he declared in Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
If you’ve watched any of the trailers, you will notice this is an action film with some chase and drug scenes, but the meat of the film is far more than chasing the bad guys. This movie is basically illustrating the need for men to be courageous and demonstrate to our society how we can impact the next generation for good or for evil.
Guys, whether you’re a dad or not, the need for Godly men to be courageous and mentor boys into Christ-like characteristics has never been greater. The challenge to be “men of courage” and use your position of influence to reach and train young men is now. My prayer is that men of all ages will raise their level of commitment and become Godly leaders that our nation, churches, marketplace and homes need today.
