Stop, Look and Listen
With school being right around the corner, we know that our children will be facing new challenges in their walk with Christ. Let's face it...they receive direction from every one and everything they are surrounded by. The question is...who will they listen to? Kids are constantly making choices throughout their day. From what kind of cereal to eat, to who they will be sitting next to at lunch. However small the decision may seem, each one can lead to even bigger consequences. I believe our kids need to know about the Holy Spirit, our internal GPS, which is why we are in the preliminary teachings about that very topic. He is the Heavenly compass in the earth. Now more than ever, children need to know that they have an internal GPS! He is there to be a comfort and a helper so that it is possible to stay true to who God has called them to be and do what God has called them to do. God never meant for a life in Christ to be difficult. In fact, He said that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. When they try to follow Him in their own strength, they fail. But with the power that comes by simply asking to be filled with His Spirit, they can overcome anything this school year sends their way. They are learning to yield to the "inward witness." (They that are led by the spirit of God, are the sons of God. Romans 8:14) This is a 12 week series that is vital to their spiritual growth.
Royal Rangers and Mpact Ministries:
We will be launching two new children's programs that will specialy cater to the individual needs and gender of our kids! I am sure you can agree that the worldly influence contradicts the identity God has preordained for our children. Royal Rangers is a dynamic ministry that is designed for Men to teach and influence boys to become Godly men. Our girls ministry is called Mpact. It's primary goal is to help teach our girls their value, and to help them make God-honoring decisions. Both ministries will help our kids know their identity in Christ. We will be launching both ministries starting September 8th and will continue every Wednesday evening throughout the school year.
