Heather is a missionary kid who lived in both the western and southern regions of Africa. She serves as the Connections Director at Crosswalk and loves helping people get involved as they connect with God through serving on the IMPACTeam and building relationships with each other in Life Groups.
Pastor Alan and Heather have a passion to love people and build bridges for all to find their true foundation in Jesus Christ.
Heather loves people! Young and old, she knows no strangers and loves chatting and hanging with all people! As the connections director, she loves serving the local church through small groups, women’s ministry events, and assisting in children’s ministry. She loves watching God touch people in a transforming way. In ministry all her life, she has lived just about everywhere from the United States to the shores of Africa. You usually find her hanging out with her best friend, Pastor Alan and her 2 kids, Sierra and Hunter.
David grew up in western South Dakota and came to know Jesus through the ministry of Bethel Assembly of God in Rapid City. He graduated from Trinity Bible College and received pastoral credentials with the Assemblies of God in 2001. Het also met Jennifer at Trinity and they have been married for almost 21 years. David and Jen have three amazing kids and also love to open their home to foster children. They have served in ministry to children, teens, and adults for 20+ years and are excited to be back home in South Dakota to serve the great people of Crosswalk Community Church.
David enjoys connecting with and encouraging people and helping them to realize how God has gifted them to make a difference in the local church. In his free time you can find him grabbing coffee with Jen, hiking or doing something outdoors with his kids, going for a run, or cheering for the Denver Broncos and New York Yankees.

Children's Ministry Director
Laura has a huge passion in reaching kids with the Gospel. Her heart fills up with Joy when she gets to see children’s eyes light up as they begin to see how much God loves and cares for them. When they have understanding of all Jesus has done for them and ask Him to be their Savior; well, I can’t even describe how wonderful it is to witness the power of the Lord working in that way.
Laura and her husband/best friend Shawn are from California and they have been married since 1999. We are blessed with 2 children, Tyrell and Katana. Laura has been in Children’s Ministry for 15 years. Her family joined Crosswalk in the fall of 2016 and Laura joined staff in November 2017.
